THE JUDGES

JACOB HILL is the current Mister USA. He is also an accomplished songwriter and musician specializing in folk music. His first CD, "Black Coffee Sessions," was released last summer and has received rave reviews. Earlier this year, Jacob established his own band called "Jake Hill and the Law" and they have been touring the country to promote their unique style of music. They are currently recording their first CD expected to be released next year.

ALIDA D'ANGONA, 22, was born in southern California. Alida had the rewarding experience of traveling around the world with her family to various foreign countries such as China as a child. Her family settled in Bolton, MA where she graduated from Nashoba Regional High School in 2004. She continued her education at Gordon College where she earned her B.S in Biology in 2007. Alida immediately put her degree to work at Genzyme, considered to be "the top 10 of all biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies". On top of her impressive professional career, Alida is also a print and runway model in the Greater Boston and Central Massachusetts area. In June of 2008, Alida competed in her first beauty competition and was crowned Miss Boston 2008. This title is just the first of hopefully many titles to come from this fresh and inspiring up and comer!

DANA ROSENGARD earned his Ph.D. from the School of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. A former television news reporter, anchor, and producer, including work at WCVB-TV/Channel 5-Boston, Dana is joining the Department of Communication and Journalism at Suffolk University this fall. Dana continues to travel the country as a pageant producer, emcee, judge, and coach. Two of his former clients went on to capture the Miss USA crown, two have made top-10 at Miss America and several others have won state crowns in both the Miss America, Miss USA and Miss Teen USA programs. He has been a credentialed member of the press pool at those pageants as well as a state and local Miss America and Miss USA pageant master of ceremonies.

BECCA BOUSQUET started assisting in her mid-teens, and went on to study at The School of the Museum of Fine Arts and Tufts University. You can find her shooting anywhere from a dentist's office to a tropical beach. Mister USA is happy to have Becca again as the official photographer and sponsor for the second year in a row, and now as one of the distinguished judges.

ALVIN MATIUM is a professional make-up artist and pageant coach based in Florida. He has helped many young women succeed in several local, national and international pageants. Soon he will launch his own make-up company called Brushed Beauty, Inc.
